Watch out for resistance

When it comes to manifesting what you want, resistance is the culprit for it not showing up.  Resistance is all the doubt, worry, and fear that comes up when we think about something we want to attract.

Many times we can think positively about something that we want, but if it doesn’t happen when we think it should, that’s when the resistant thoughts start coming in.

What are resistant thoughts?

Some of the resistant thoughts that come up could be: “how is this going to happen, I knew it was too much to ask for?” or “why is it taking so long to manifest?” or “what if I don’t have enough money to go on vacation?”

Once you allow yourself to think thoughts like that, you’re right back where you started – attracting it not to come because you’re keeping yourself in a low vibration about it all!

That’s why it’s so important to have Law of Attraction processes at your beck and call so you can use them to keep the positive vibration flowing about whatever it is you want to manifest.

We have to remember that it’s not our job to focus on the “how” or the “when” something will manifest for us.  Out job is to focus on what we want, and stay excited about it coming.  Do your best to trust that whatever you want is on its way.

The Law of Attraction can be defined in several ways. Some of the easiest definitions are “like attracts like,” or “you get what you think about.” But what does that mean, and how does it effect you?

It means that what you’re thinking about and/or focusing on is what you’re going to attract to your life regardless of if it’s good or bad.

You can attract things such as more money, your dream house, a relationship, or even your dream car.

You can also attract a better emotional state and less stress, so you just feel more excited about your life. Or, on the other hand, based on what you’re choosing to focus on, you could attract something unwanted like a bad personal situation, not enough money, or always feeling stressed.

That’s why it’s important to remember that the Law of Attraction is always operating in your life 24/7.

How to use the Law of Attraction

Fortunately, through coaching, there are processes and techniques you can find out about so that you can use the Law of Attraction so it works in your favor.

One process that I like is called pivoting. This is when you realize that you’re thinking about what you don’t want, and then immediately flip the thought to what you do want, and why you want it, and stay focused on that.

For example, say you realize that you’re thinking about how you never have enough money.  You realize that’s what you’re thinking about and it’s what you don’t want to keep attracting, so you immediately flip the thought and think more positive thoughts about money and why you want money.  Thoughts like “I have unlimited money; It feels so good to have limitless amounts of money; I can buy whatever I want at the mall!” etc.

The key is to be aware enough of your thoughts so you can use the pivot process. With practice you’ll start thinking more about what you do want than what you don’t want, and then you’ll start seeing what you do want showing up in your life!

Is it possible to only think positive thoughts?

Is it possible to only think positive thoughts?

To be a deliberate creator by using the Law of Attraction, it’s a must to constantly think about what you want, what you want, what you want.  This is because we know that what we focus on and think about is what we’re going to attract.

But besides doing that, how much of your day is spent on thinking positive thoughts?  I once asked a potential client “How much of your day do you think about and focus on what you want?”  To my surprise she was honest and said “Not much of the day at all.”  How can she expect to attract what she wants if she hardly spends any time thinking about and focusing on what she wants?

I was thinking about it and I have decided to choose to think positive thoughts as much as possible throughout the day.

There’s plenty of time between this and that when we’re all just thinking about nothing, so why not choose to fill that time with thinking about something positive?

How to help yourself think positive thoughts.

Think about something you want to have happen, or that’s already happened that was something you wanted.  By doing this you’ll keep yourself in the vibration of it and it can’t help but manifest for you at some point.

A fun way to raise your vibrations in the moment

Anybody who is aware of the Law of Attraction knows that keeping your vibrations high is important so that you’ll attract more circumstances in your life that will feel good to you, and that feel good feeling raises your vibration. And of course with a raised vibration, you’ll attract more good things to happen for you, and more good things to happen for you, etc. etc.

Here’s what to do

One easy way to raise your vibrations in the moment is to keep something that you find cute in your view, or at least close by.

You may have a cute key chain that makes you smile in the moment. Or, you may have something cute on your desk at work that gives you a good feeling whenever you see it.

I personally have made sure that everything in my home office makes me feel good when I look at it. From my desk to what I keep on my shelves, all in some way makes me feel good which helps to raise my vibrations.

My desk makes me feel good because it is vintage, and has hand carving on the drawers and legs. Every time I come into my office and see it a feeling of gratitude comes over me because I’m thankful that I have such a beautiful desk to sit at. I have some cute stuffed animals on some of my shelves that make me smile every time I see them. All these feel good feelings that I’m sending out are drawing more good things to my life.

So what can you keep by you that will make you feel good every time you look at it?

Penn Station and Law of Attraction

Penn Station and Law of Attraction

I was at Penn Station the other day and I was looking at the big board that lists the trains, where they’re going, what track they’re on, and if they’re “On Time”, “Delayed” or “Cancelled”.

It made me wonder where in my life am I “delaying” or “canceling” something I want because of my thoughts and vibrations about it being in a low/negative place (instead of a more positive outlook)?  Or, am I “On Time” with my thoughts (keeping them in a positive way)?

Question to ask yourself

So now I ask you – from a Law of Attraction point-of-view, where in your life are you “delaying” or “canceling” something you want to arrive “on time” due to your negative thoughts and/or low vibrations about it? Could it be your finances, a relationship, better clients, or ?

Once you figure out what that is, you can start telling yourself a new story about it so that your “delayed” or “canceled” want, will arrive.

Who are you hanging out with?

Who are you hanging out with?

Have you ever thought about the kind of vibrations the people you’re hanging out with are putting out?  What I mean is, we’re all putting out high (positive) or low (negative) vibrations.  I know if you’re reading this, you are most likely someone who is aware enough to do your best to put out high vibrations.

However, if you’re hanging out with negative, low vibration people, that can have an effect on you and bring down your vibrations.  Just like if you were hanging out with people who focused on the positive aspects of life, that would have a good effect on you.

So you have to think about who you’re spending a lot of time with and if they’re someone who brings you down because they’re putting out negative energy, you may want to consider spending less time with them and more time with someone who has a positive outlook on things.

Do you have to let everyone negative go?

Of course I’m not suggesting that you totally let go of everyone in your life who is negative, but it’s worth thinking about spending more time with people who aren’t.
