Law of Attraction and Relationships

Believe it or not, relationships and the Law of Attraction have alot to do with each other.  When I use the word “relationships,” to me there are three types.  (1) There’s the relationship you have with yourself; (2) the relationship(s) you have with other people, and (3) the relationship you have, or want to have, with a love interest.

Are your relationships what you want?

The thoughts and therefore the vibrations you’re putting out about all 3 types of relationships is exactly what you’re experiencing.

Have you ever even thought about the relationship you have with yourself?  Are you good to yourself, kind to yourself, or do you put yourself down?  Think about it and if need be take action to improve the relationship you have with yourself.

What about the relationships you have with other people?  Do you enjoy them, criticize them, or go out of your way to make them good?  If you think you can improve them, choose to do that.

And, of course, where are you thoughts about finding true love, or if you have found it, are you enjoying it, or complaining about it?  Make sure you’re focusing on what you want.  And, if you’re looking for your soul mate, focus on the qualities you want them to have.

If you really take the time to ask yourself the above questions, it’s a great start to finding out where your thoughts/vibrations are when it comes to relationships.

Once you’re honest with yourself about where you stand, then you can start using Law of Attraction processes to start attracting the kind of relationships you really want, in all areas of your life, including with yourself!

The Thought Meter . . .

The Thought Meter

It would be so cool if there was a thought meter that would count how many thoughts we have throughout an entire day.  To take it one step further, it would be even better if the meter would print out a report at the end of the day with two columns.  Column one would be called “Negative Thoughts” and column two would be called “Positive Thoughts.”  Then, under each column it would print out what those thoughts were.  I have a feeling the “Negative Thought” column would have a lot more thoughts on it than the positive thought column!

When you stop to think about it, we’re always thinking about something. Are you usually thinking about questions like these:  why “something” went wrong? why don’t I have enough of “something”? why did this happen? why did that happen? why didn’t he do what he said he would do? why am I still doing what I don’t want to do? I’m afraid of what my future holds, I’m worried about “something”, will I ever fall in love? and on and on and on?

With all these negative thoughts running through your head all day long, it’s no surprise that all these thoughts mentioned above (and others along those lines) are still what’s manifesting for you.

Changing Your Thoughts

The good news is that you can choose to take control of your thoughts little by little, day by day, thought by thought.

One way to do this is that when you find yourself thinking a negative thought, literally ask yourself “what do I want?”  Once you know what you want (which is usually the opposite of the negative thought you were thinking) and you start focusing on what you want, then eventually what you want will become what is.  The trick is that you have to practice asking yourself that question “What do I want?” over and over.

Eventually, with practice, more and more of your thoughts will be about what you want, instead of what you don’t want.  Oh what a joyous day that will be.  If there really was a Thought Meter, wouldn’t it be wonderful if eventually the positive thought side was much greater than the negative thought side?

It sounds easy enough, but will you really do it?  I hope so!

Do you have to know how something will manifest?

Do you have to know how something will manifest?

The question of the day is “Do you have to know how something you want is going to manifest?”

The answer is “no!”

When it comes to working with the Law of Attraction, so many people get caught up in trying to figure out, or having to know how something they want is going to manifest that it just keeps it from happening.  This is because these types of thoughts are all about resistance, and resistance blocks manifestation.

They think thoughts like “I want to go on a cruise, but how is the money going to come?” or “I really want to buy that house, but it’s $30,000 more than I can afford” or “I want to be in a relationship, but it seems so hard to meet someone.”

The solution to having to know…

The good news is that it’s not your job to figure out how something you want is going to happen.  As hard as that may be for you to believe, it’s the truth.

Your job is to match the vibration of whatever it is you’re wanting, and then allow the Law of Attraction to deliver it without getting caught up in the how or when.

Because, once you get caught up in the how (or when), you start putting up resistance, and it’s the resistance that blocks the manifestation.

That’s why I use the processes I use with my clients (and with myself), because when you use them, you’re lessening the resistance to whatever it is you’re wanting and allowing your vibration to raise so you can match whatever it is you’re wanting.

Once you experience doing this, you really start to get it and that’s when positive changes start to occur.

It’s wonderful when you start to live your life from a Law of Attraction point of view.

Law of Attraction talk…

Every day when you wake up you start thinking about something, and of course thoughts come and go throughout the day.  Some of the thoughts you’re thinking are negative (low vibration), and some are positive (high vibration).

However, most people go about their day as a victim to their thoughts.  If something good happens they’re in a good mood and will think what a great day they’re having.  If something bad happens they’ll most likely think what a bad day they’re having.  It sounds simple, but it’s the truth.

But the real question is “How often is the Law of Attraction effecting your life?”  Is it sometimes or only when you think about it?  The Law of Attraction is effecting your life all the time, whether you’re aware that it is or not.  It’s giving you more of what you’re thinking about and focusing on regardless if it’s “good” or “bad.”  If you’re thinking about it, you’re going to get more of whatever that is.

You can choose to improve your thoughts

The good news is that you don’t have to be a victim to your thoughts and emotions.  You can choose to do something about it so you can feel excited about your life all the time and start attracting more of what you want.  Even if you’re feeling very low, you can still reach for a thought that help you feels a little better.  A little better is better than where you were.  Then, as the day goes on you can reach for better thoughts that will help you eventually return to feeling really good.

But, you have to start to becoming more aware of how you’re thinking about what you’re thinking about, and when you find you’re thinking about something negative, flip that thought to the opposite, positive thought, and then focus on that (as opposed to staying stuck thinking about the negative).

For example, if you find you’re thinking about how you don’t have enough money, start to think about how you have plenty of money and get excited about how that would feel.  It doesn’t matter if you don’t have excess money because the Law of Attraction is responding to your higher vibration about money, and will start to make things happen in your life so that you’ll start attracting more money.

So the next time you feel like you’re not as happy as you could be, start deliberately reaching for better thoughts until you make yourself happy again.  It takes practice, but with time and awareness, you can master feeling happy more often than not.

Allow or Continue Blocking?

Allow or Continue Blocking?

It’s not very often that my computer reminds me about the Law of Attraction, in fact, up until now it never has.

However, recently whenever I go to a website, a window pops up on the upper right hand corner of the screen and there are two buttons.  One says “Allow” and the other one says “Continue Blocking.”  These words are so Law of Attraction.

I love that my computer is now asking me this.  Not because of the reason why the computer is asking me, but because it reminds me to ask myself “am I allowing or blocking what I want to manifest?”  And of course I always remind myself to think “I allow all that I want.”  Whenever I think that I feel a sense of calm because I can feel that it’s on its way.

Reason for allowing

It’s vital that we always do our best to allow what we want to manifest because if we don’t, then we are blocking it.  There are several ways to allow.  One easy way is to simply think about and focus on things that make you feel good.  When you do this you are offering little resistance in your state of feeling good, and the opposite of resistance is allowing.

I hope you are also choosing to “Allow” instead of “Continue Blocking.”

Law of Attraction in Real Life

A lot of people resonate with the Law of Attraction but they don’t know how to use it in their daily lives.  I say this because I get a lot of calls/emails from people who have watched The Secret, or heard information about the Law of Attraction, and it makes sense to them. However, even though it makes sense to them then they’re like “now what?”

It’s very easy to understand the basic definition of Law of Attraction which is “like energy attracts like energy.” However, even if you understand that it doesn’t mean you know what to do to attract what you want into your life.

Attracting what you want

Attracting what you want is for both material things and fulfilling emotional needs.  It’s also important to know how to deliberately keep yourself feeling good, so you’ll attract more feel good experiences into your life.

The good news is that once you work with an experienced Law of Attraction life coach, you’ll find out about processes and techniques that you can use daily to keep the Law of Attraction working in your favor. It’s kind of like when you read a self-help book but you don’t actually do what the author says, so you don’t really benefit from the information. The same holds true with the Law of Attraction. You can know about it, and even agree with it, but until you practice various processes that help keep you focused and excited about what you are wanting, you won’t benefit from it.  I say this because though there is alot of great information out there about Law of Attraction, most of it doesn’t give you real examples on how to get it to work in your favor.

For example, a client of mine was looking to make a career change but nothing was happening. She even knew where she wanted to work. Then she started using some of the processes she learned, and within a few weeks “out of the blue” a customer of hers revealed where he worked, and it turned out to be the exact place that she wanted to work! She told her customer that, and he didn’t hesitate to give her vital information on how to get the job she wanted.

Of course this didn’t just happen “out of the blue.”  By doing the processes she lessened her resistance to what she was wanting, and as a result Law of Attraction made it happen. Law of Attraction is happening in your real life every day. The question is, are you attracting what you want, or what you don’t want?

If you’re attracting what you don’t want and/or want to know how to handle life situations in the best way possible, it’s time you learn how to start attracting what you do want!

The good news is that it just gets better when you live your life from a Law of Attraction point-of-view because you feel happier and you start attracting what you want (instead of what you don’t want).

Enjoying life…

Enjoying Life

Are you one of those people who thinks that one of the reasons we’re here is to enjoy life?

I don’t know about you, but I am!

It can be easy to get caught up in the daily grind and forget that experiencing joy is a right that we all have.  So as a reminder, I think it’s important to do deliberately do something every day that you enjoy, that’s fun, and/or that makes you feel good.

No matter how busy you are, there’s something you can do to have a joyful experience. At a minimum you can laugh about something funny that you experienced in the past. I like doing that because when I think of something funny that happened to me, I instantly start laughing again about it and it feels good. One of my experiences that I like to think about is the time that I went with my friend Lynn to a serious movie.  We were in a fun mood and were laughing throughout the movie at scenes that weren’t supposed to be funny!  No one else in the theater knew why we were laughing, but we just were and it made it so much fun.

Of course if you have more time, just doing something you consider fun is a great way to experience joy like hiking, painting, exercising, etc.

Hopefully this post is a reminder to go out of your way to have fun, to laugh, to do something you enjoy so that you can enjoy your life. And remember, when it comes to the Law of Attraction, the more you do to experience joy, the more joyful experiences and circumstances you’ll attract!

So go enjoy doing something and reap the benefits!
