Law of Attraction and the Slot Machine (again)

I had once written a blog post about going to the casino.  I now have another great post about going to the casino and playing slot machine.  Of course, I went from a Law of Attraction point-of-view and boy did I win!

I decided on the way to the casino that I was just going to focus on how fun it will be to play the slots, and how I’m always lucky.  By doing this I was putting myself in the vibration of winning.

When I first got there I played a new machine.  It was called something like “Phoenix Princess.”  I could win by either getting the bonus, or it also had a random bonus where a phoenix would rise up across the screen and make certain columns wild.

I sat at the machine with my high vibration and only 3 spins in, I got the bonus!  During the bonus I kept winning, but on one spin the entire screen filled with the princess.  That bonus paid $400!  What a great way to start playing the slot machines.

As the night went on the more typical thing happened where I won, I lost, I won, etc.

However, at the end of the nigh when everyone was ready to leave, I had time to play one more machine.  There was a fun machine I played before called something like “Wild Unicorns.”  So I sat at the machine and took a more proactive stance and thought “I want to get the bonus, I want to get the bonus.”  A few spins later I got the bonus!  During the bonus I kept thinking “I want the entire screen to fill with unicorns!”  I kept thinking that because I figured that would pay out the most.  Guess what, a few spins in during the bonus the entire screen filled with unicorns!  It was amazing.  That bonus paid out $420!

What a fun and successful time I had at the casino.

People always ask me if they are trying to change by improving how they think and feel, do they have to let go of their friends who are more negative?  The answer to this is yes and no.  Obviously we can’t run from everyone because even though some people we know may be more negative, they may still have some good qualities we like about them.  However, that being said, there may be some people we know who really are “toxic” and are so negative that it would be a good idea to greatly distance ourselves from them.

Solutions Regarding Friends

A good idea when it comes to people we don’t want to totally distance ourselves from is to just limit our time with them.  Maybe we only spend an hour with them instead of 3 hours.  Or, maybe when we call them to chat if the conversation starts to veer towards negativity, we do our best to change the subject.

The reason for all this is because when it comes to the Law of Attraction, since it’s always responding to us, giving us more circumstances and situations that match our vibration, we want to spend more time at a higher vibration.  A higher vibration feels good and that’s where we want to be as much as possible.  When we keep ourselves at a higher vibration then we attract more experiences that are high vibration experiences.  We’ll even attract people who are more positive, and some of our friends who are more low vibration will fade away because they can tell you’re not a match with them anymore.  So that’s why it’s important to spend more time with your more positive (high vibration) friends and less time with your more negative (low vibration) friends.

It’s also important to know that once we know how to deliberately keep ourselves at a raised vibration, lower vibration people won’t effect us as much because we’re feeling too good.

Law of Attraction and Manifesting

Law of Attraction and Manifesting What You Want

We all want to manifest something.  It may be a better job, a new job, a relationship, a car, a dream home, or even feeling happier.  But how does the Law of Attraction play a part in that?  The answer is that it’s always playing a part!

You have to understand that the Law of Attraction is always responding to you 24/7.  What that means is that it’s always responding to the feeling (vibration) you’re offering in general, and about specific things.

Examples of Law of Attraction In Action

For example, if you want to attract a wonderful relationship but you’re constantly walking around with thoughts like: “why is it so hard to meet someone” or “I’m never going to meet someone special” or “how come my friends are all with someone, but I’m not?”  These and other questions of doubt or lack means you’re putting out negative energy (a/k/a low vibration) about meeting someone.

The Law of Attraction is just matching that vibration and saying “ok, here’s more of it being hard to meet someone.”  And as a result you’ll have more experiences that support that (instead of what you want, which is to meet someone special).

However, the goods news it that if you’re walking around thinking more positive thoughts about meeting someone like: “I can’t wait to be in a wonderful, loving relationship” or “I’m so excited about meeting someone special” then you’re offering a good, positive feeling about it (a high vibration), and Law of Attraction will respond by eventually or suddenly you’ll meet someone “out of the blue”, or a friend will suggest someone they thought of you could date.

The trick is to not get caught up in when or how you’ll meet someone, because when you do that it brings in the doubt again.

It’s important to think about what you’re focusing on so that you attract what you want, instead of more of what you don’t want!

Law of Attraction Advice Warning!

You have to be careful who you’re getting Law of Attraction advice from.  The other day I received a phone call from an old friend.  After catching up, she informed me that she was teaching people about the Law of Attraction.  At first I was happy for her, and that more people are learning about LOA.  However, then she went on for about 10 minutes complaining and complaining about how much money she doesn’t have, how it’s so hard to find an apartment, and other negative (low vibration) thoughts.  After our conversation (or more like her rant about what she doesn’t want) it was clear that she really doesn’t understand the Law of Attraction at all.  Because if she did, she would know that all that complaining was just setting herself up for those things to continue to be difficult for her to manifest.  In response to that, I’m asking you if you’re focusing alot on what you don’t want, instead of what you do want?

Another example of what not to do regarding Law of Attraction

As a similar story/example.  For those of you who don’t know, I am also certified as a Consulting Hypnotist.  During my training, someone in the program told me that she teaches a course part-time called “Laws of the Universe” in which she spends about 10 minutes teaching about the Law of Attraction, and then she moves on to the next topic.  First I was a little suspicious about only spending 10 minutes teaching about it.  Throughout the hypnosis training she would tell me different stories about her current life issues.  It was clear to me that she may know the basic definition of LOA, but she certainly isn’t practicing what she preaches because her current life situation would be much different, and here she is teaching people about Law of Attraction!  So I’m asking you, are you using what you know about the Law of Attraction to benefit your life?

The above stories really showed me that many people who know about, and even teach about the Law of Attraction, are not using what they know, or they don’t fully understanding it, and that reflects how their lives are.

So please ask yourself – do the people you’re learning Law of Attraction from seem to be living what they preach?  Do you really understand what the Law of Attraction  is, and are you really using what you do know to improve your life?  If not, find someone else to listen to or learn from, and start implementing their good advice into your own life.

Law of Attraction and Resistance

Law of Attraction and Resistance

People interested in the Law of Attraction always want to know what keeps something they want from manifesting?

There are several answers, but the main thing is resistance keeps what you’re wanting from manifesting.  I like to explain resistance like this.  Imagine there’s an invisible wall in front of you – this wall is resistance.  Everything you want is coming towards you but the wall of resistance is blocking it from coming into your experience.

Where is resistance coming from?

One place resistance is found, that keeps that imaginary wall strong, is in the questions that most people get caught up in like “how is this going to come to me, I’m asking for too much?” or the ever popular “Why is it taking so long for this to manifest?”

Once you get caught up in those types of questions, it brings your focus on the lack of what you’re wanting.  Knowing that the Law of Attraction is always matching what you’re focusing on, you’re just going to get more of the same – more lack.

A good way to look at it is that when you get in your car to drive somewhere you know with certainty that you’re going to get there.  You don’t turn around half way there thinking you better go back home because you’re not there yet!  The same holds true for when you want to manifest something.  You focus on the wanting of it without getting caught up in when or how it will arrive (the resistance).

Once you work with a Law of Attraction life coach you’ll learn processes that lower the resistance to what you’re wanting (and will knock down that wall of resistance mentioned above), and keep you focused on what you want.  When you focus on what you want, and allow it to come, it will!

Law of Attraction and Relationships

Law of Attraction and Relationships

Believe it or not, relationships and the Law of Attraction have alot to do with each other.  When I use the word “relationships,” to me there are three types.  (1) There’s the relationship you have with yourself; (2) the relationship(s) you have with other people, and (3) the relationship you have, or want to have, with a love interest.

Are your relationships what you want?

The thoughts and therefore the vibrations you’re putting out about all 3 types of relationships is exactly what you’re experiencing.

Have you ever even thought about the relationship you have with yourself?  Are you good to yourself, kind to yourself, or do you put yourself down?  Think about it and if need be take action to improve the relationship you have with yourself.

What about the relationships you have with other people?  Do you enjoy them, criticize them, or go out of your way to make them good?  If you think you can improve them, choose to do that.

And, of course, where are you thoughts about finding true love, or if you have found it, are you enjoying it, or complaining about it?  Make sure you’re focusing on what you want.  And, if you’re looking for your soul mate, focus on the qualities you want them to have.

If you really take the time to ask yourself the above questions, it’s a great start to finding out where your thoughts/vibrations are when it comes to relationships.

Once you’re honest with yourself about where you stand, then you can start using Law of Attraction processes to start attracting the kind of relationships you really want, in all areas of your life, including with yourself!

The Thought Meter . . .

The Thought Meter

It would be so cool if there was a thought meter that would count how many thoughts we have throughout an entire day.  To take it one step further, it would be even better if the meter would print out a report at the end of the day with two columns.  Column one would be called “Negative Thoughts” and column two would be called “Positive Thoughts.”  Then, under each column it would print out what those thoughts were.  I have a feeling the “Negative Thought” column would have a lot more thoughts on it than the positive thought column!

When you stop to think about it, we’re always thinking about something. Are you usually thinking about questions like these:  why “something” went wrong? why don’t I have enough of “something”? why did this happen? why did that happen? why didn’t he do what he said he would do? why am I still doing what I don’t want to do? I’m afraid of what my future holds, I’m worried about “something”, will I ever fall in love? and on and on and on?

With all these negative thoughts running through your head all day long, it’s no surprise that all these thoughts mentioned above (and others along those lines) are still what’s manifesting for you.

Changing Your Thoughts

The good news is that you can choose to take control of your thoughts little by little, day by day, thought by thought.

One way to do this is that when you find yourself thinking a negative thought, literally ask yourself “what do I want?”  Once you know what you want (which is usually the opposite of the negative thought you were thinking) and you start focusing on what you want, then eventually what you want will become what is.  The trick is that you have to practice asking yourself that question “What do I want?” over and over.

Eventually, with practice, more and more of your thoughts will be about what you want, instead of what you don’t want.  Oh what a joyous day that will be.  If there really was a Thought Meter, wouldn’t it be wonderful if eventually the positive thought side was much greater than the negative thought side?

It sounds easy enough, but will you really do it?  I hope so!
