Law of Attraction Made Easy

So many people want a simple answer about what the Law of Attraction is.  The simple answer, and my favorite definition is “Like Energy Attracts Like Energy.”  However, what does that mean, and is it easy to make happen?

Like energy attracts like energy means that whatever it is we’re thinking about causes us to feel a certain way (typically good or bad), and that feeling is what the Law of Attraction is responding to.  For example, if someone is thinking thoughts about the lack of money in their life that’s making them feel bad about money.  Law of Attraction responds to that low feeling about money and that person will keep attracting more thoughts and experiences that demonstrate them not having enough money.

Is Law of Attraction Easy To Work With?

Now that you know the above, the Law of Attraction can be easy to work with.  However, since it’s always responding to us, we have to remember that we have to stay focused on what we want so that we attract what we want.  This can be tricky because it’s so easy to just stay focused on ‘what is’ because that’s what we’re experiencing.

Law of Attraction and Thoughts

It’s so interesting to me that regardless of how well someone knows about the Law of Attraction, it can be easy to lose focus and before you know it, your thoughts are about something unwanted, and you’re getting all caught up that.  Many times clients ask me “Why is it so easy to lose focus about thinking about what I want?  I was doing so good, and then out of the blue I realized I was thinking about what I don’t want.”  This is because we are creatures of habit and have all spent years and years practicing thinking about “what is” (the problem) rather than focusing our thoughts on what we want.

The solution to losing focus

The solution to losing focus is to start to become very aware of what you’re thinking about, and how you’re thinking about it.  Once you do that, then you can catch yourself when you start focusing on the problem, rather than the solution.

For example, say someone wants to be in a wonderful, loving relationship.  However, based on past experience and length of time it’s taking them to find someone new, they’re caught up in thinking about how hard it is to find someone, and all the good ones are gone.  Let’s assume this person knows about the Law of Attraction and realizes that they’ll keep attracting what they focus on so they deliberately start to think about the good qualities in they want in someone, and even the idea that they could meet that special someone at any time.  So for a few days this person feels much better about the possibility of meeting someone.  Then as they days go by and no one is showing up, the old thoughts of doubt start coming in like “Why is it taking so long to find someone special?” “I tried to focus on what I want but it’s not working.”  These thoughts just bring this person down vibrationally about relationships and now they’re back focusing on all the negative thoughts they have about relationships.  It’s easy for this to happen regardless of if it’s about relationships, more money, a better job, etc.

But, here’s the encouraging news!  Once you know about the Law of Attraction, even if you find yourself lost in thoughts of what you don’t want, it just takes a second to start re-focusing your thoughts so they’re about what you do want.  One positive thought at a time will help to bring the above person back to thinking about who they’re looking for.  It just takes practice, but with time and practice anyone can get used to thinking more about what they want, then what they don’t want.  Not only does it feel better to focus on what we want, but by doing that, we’re setting ourselves up to attract it.

Law of Attraction and What We Want

Every day there are so many things we have to focus on, and to do.  We make decisions about what clothes we’re going to wear.  We think about what foods to eat throughout the day.  We make decisions about work related issues.  However, how often are we focusing on and thinking about what we want?

We know that the basics of Law of Attraction tells us that we get what we’re focusing on.  So, isn’t it important that just as much as we think about all the things we have to do in a day, we also deliberately spend time thinking about what we want to attract?  The answer is an undeniable “YES!”

Of course we have to spend time thinking about and focusing on what we want.  We have to spend time reaching for thoughts that keep us feeling good as well.  The perfect scenario would be that we’re spending more time thinking about what we want than on “what is” – so that what we want becomes our “what is.”

What we want or what is?  It’s a choice.

It’s easy to spend our time focusing on “what is” because that’s what we’re experiencing, that’s what we can see.  However, even though that’s what we’re currently experiencing, if we want to experience an improved situation (whatever that me be for you), we have to focus on what that improved situation would be so we can attract it.

Hopefully this is a reminder, or if you’re new to Law of Attraction, a good explanation of why we have to spend time thinking about and focusing on what we want, without letting our current situation deter us from doing that.

The Best Version of Yourself…

The Best Version of Yourself…

Wouldn’t it be great if you could be the best version of yourself?  Maybe you’d like to be more confident or feel that what you say and do has value?  Maybe you’d like to make healthier choices and better decisions?  Maybe you’d like to be more relaxed and confident socially?  Maybe you’d like to be more honest?

Whatever the qualities are, we all have traits and feelings that we’d like to have fulfilled, that would make us a better person.

The good news is that we can take action so we can start becoming the best versions of ourselves.

How Do I Become The Best Version of Myself?

A great way to start becoming the best version of yourself is to make a list of all the qualities that you think would make you the best version of yourself.  Once you have your list, then daily say affirmations that support you being those qualities.

For example, let’s say that on your list you have these qualities written down: “more confident, calmer and more social at parties, feel happier, feel like I have value, be my ideal weight, do work that I love.”

To affirm these wonderful qualities that you’d like to have, simply start by saying out loud, or thinking: “I am willing to be more confident” “I am willing to be calmer and more social at parties” “I am willing to feel happier” ” I am willing to feel like I have value” “I am willing to be my ideal weight” “I am willing to do work that I love.”

By affirming these statements every day, they start getting into your subconscious mind.  Once they are firmly planted there, you will start noticing at some point that you do feel more how you want, and you are becoming more like you want to be.

So spend some time making your list of what the best version of yourself would be, and then enjoy affirming those qualities every day.

Law of Attraction and the Slot Machine (again)

I had once written a blog post about going to the casino.  I now have another great post about going to the casino and playing slot machine.  Of course, I went from a Law of Attraction point-of-view and boy did I win!

I decided on the way to the casino that I was just going to focus on how fun it will be to play the slots, and how I’m always lucky.  By doing this I was putting myself in the vibration of winning.

When I first got there I played a new machine.  It was called something like “Phoenix Princess.”  I could win by either getting the bonus, or it also had a random bonus where a phoenix would rise up across the screen and make certain columns wild.

I sat at the machine with my high vibration and only 3 spins in, I got the bonus!  During the bonus I kept winning, but on one spin the entire screen filled with the princess.  That bonus paid $400!  What a great way to start playing the slot machines.

As the night went on the more typical thing happened where I won, I lost, I won, etc.

However, at the end of the nigh when everyone was ready to leave, I had time to play one more machine.  There was a fun machine I played before called something like “Wild Unicorns.”  So I sat at the machine and took a more proactive stance and thought “I want to get the bonus, I want to get the bonus.”  A few spins later I got the bonus!  During the bonus I kept thinking “I want the entire screen to fill with unicorns!”  I kept thinking that because I figured that would pay out the most.  Guess what, a few spins in during the bonus the entire screen filled with unicorns!  It was amazing.  That bonus paid out $420!

What a fun and successful time I had at the casino.

When it comes to the Law of Attraction it’s not always about manifesting something you want in the moment.  Sometimes I have done that.  For example, one time it snowed very deep and I needed help shoveling the bottom of the driveway because the snow plows made a huge wall right at the bottom.  I stood there thinking “I really need help with this, I’m asking for someone to help.”  Literally a few minutes later, a guy drove buy with his truck which had a snow plow attached to it.  He saw me and stopped the truck, rolled down his window and said “Can I plow the bottom of your driveway for you?”  That was such a nice and quick manifestation.

However, when something doesn’t manifest quickly, it’s important to do your best to focus on what you want and keep yourself at a high vibration about what you want so that you’ll set yourself up to attract it.  The minute you start doubting it will happen, then you’re putting yourself at a low vibration.

Here’s how to make your LOA web.

Think of it like a spider’s web.  Every time you think about what you want you’re adding to your web of manifestation.  Every time you deliberately keep yourself at a raised vibration and feeling good, you’re adding to the web of manifestation.  The more thoughts and high vibrations you have in your web of manifestation, the stronger your web is and what you want will stick to it and manifest for you.

But, every time you feel lack or think you can’t have something, you’re breaking the web and allowing what you want to fall through.

So start focusing on what you want, and feeling good so your web of attraction will be strong and you’ll start attracting what you want.

Manifesting What You Want

Manifesting What You Want

When it comes to manifesting something you want, how good are you at consistently thinking it’s going to manifest for you without getting discouraged?  I ask because it can be very easy to be excited about it one day, and then discouraged that it hasn’t happened yet on another day.

When it comes to the Law of Attraction you have to do your best to have a certainty that it will happen.

I always like using the following example.  When you get into your car to go somewhere you most likely never question if you’re going to get there.  Half way there you don’t turn around because you’re not there yet.  You have an expectation, a certainty that you’re going to get there.  If you can take that same certainty you have when it comes to knowing that you’re going to get to wherever you’re going, and put that feeling of certainty towards something you want to manifest, Law of Attraction can’t help but bring it to you.

Idea to help you manifest what you want

So the next time you go somewhere pause for a moment and feel that certainty, that knowing that you’re going to get there without a doubt.  Then, immediately think about something you want to manifest, and do your best to feel that same certainty, that 100% knowing that it’s going to happen for you.

It will take practice to get good at it, but once you do, be prepared to attract whatever it is you are certain about manifesting.  It’s also important to remember to let go of how or when something will manifest.
